Hi Gen. I've been doing well and hope you have been doing well too. I have been concentrating more on bridge than stocks as of late. And come September, I plan to enjoy the "spot run" as well as do some crabbing.
I have also been watching the documentary on the Vietnam War. I think what amazes me the most is just how much was kept from the American Public. And not just the American public but President Truman not being given letters that Ho Chi Minh sent him is not just amazing but also criminal. It seems to me that had these letters been given to Truman it could be that history would have taken an entirely different path and maybe the names of almost 60,000 young Americans wouldn't be carved in The Wall.
I have thoroughly every segment of every documentary that Ken Burns has produced.
The Ken Burns documentary on the Civil War first aired on PBS in 1990 I think it was. PBS has aired it a number of times since then but I'm not sure if they will air it again any time soon. However, all of the episodes can be seen by going to You Tube. In my opinion, this is a tremendous piece of work on a time period that molded some loose fitting states on a map into a nation. Burns shows the good, the bad, and plenty of ugly in this documentary. If I were a school district superintendent, I would make this required viewing in the high school history classes in my district.
If our bank stocks should manage to surge just a wee bit over the next few weeks we might want to consider getting ourselves a Migaloo for Christmas. It would go well with our Rolls. LOL
