Accretive investments tend to grow. Compare the % total of the BED merge. That would make more sense to me. The current valuation is only a snapshot in perceived value. The % at the time of purchase is the real cost.

When discussing an acquisition, the value of the shares at the time it was purchased is how it is calculated and discussed in the future.

For example you would say eBay bought PayPal for $1.5 billion in stock - not bought PayPal for today's market cap of $63 billion....
