Strange the McSweeney is the Democrat but some news sources say Ohlhausen a Republican may be the one to block the deal. I think it is a done deal that McSweeney votes to block the deal. It's all up to Ohlhausen.

Given that Ohlhausen is competing for the position of FTC Chair, how she votes on this is likely related to how all the internal staff (advisors) at the FTC feel about the merger. In other words, she will play politics and go with the winds of change that get her to the FTC Chair position.

Just some thoughts...would like to hear more on this from anyone who has done better research.
