Only short positions are by market makers which is normal. Some may be a little long, some a little short and others flat each month end.
The heftiest and financiers however will sell shares at higher prices at firms they have cozy relationships with knowing they have with knowing restricted stock coming due. Others just sell it as it comes due.
While novices don't understand why stock is sold at these levels when stock is given out for free or at a penny the sellers are making a profit.
Knowing Bozo Berman is burning cash it will be rinse and repeat. Rinse and repeat.
Looks like Berman will have to cut more deals to fund the pig.
If Berman had as real of a company as some think financials would be audited and the company would be able to get more traditional order/inventory financing
