Yes, you and mid are correct. While I had not forgotten about that ONK article, I was mis-remembering the cost stated as being something over $30M. Either way, since ONK was clearly using the post linked below as their source, it could hardly have been considered as anything "official".

Also, as mid pointed out around the same time, just because drilling may have concluded in June did not mean that all well related costs had been accounted for by June 30. Obviously, they had not been since the Tarach-1 expenses reported by ERHC more than doubled after that.

Yes but that article is dated before the final drilling costs were billed and before the final drilling costs were reported by ERHC. While the KenyaOilNews numbers were correct as reported by ERHC at the date of the article. They were not final costs.

Anybody saying otherwise has not read the ERHC filings or is simply wrong.
