Dew, I understand this is bullish, but I don't understand the motivation behind doing this. When you have an option that does not expire for 3+ years, why lock yourself in when you don't have to? Is there some tax advantage to buying earlier?

RVNC CEO exercised and held $200K of stock, using options that didn’t expire until 2020:
