Wow, what a find. This story has my memories working overtime. My pal had a 1970 SS396 hardtop, man that car ran like greased lightening. We had so much fun in that car, my pal is a good guy and I not only got to drive it, he often loaned it to me when he worked swing shift; it was the first car either of us got up to over 100mph in, I was just sixteen. It was red with a black interior, and it was a great summer for me; at the end of that summer, in early fall he wrapped it around a telephone pole. He didn't get hurt, but he had totaled it for sure.

I use to own a '67 SS 396. Had a bench seat and 4 on the floor. Could pass anything on the road except a gas station.

Had chrome reverse rims and Goodyear poly glass tires.

Looked like this but no vinyl roof.
