Patent looks like it is good to me-wrong

The patent for CIAB expired. Even PMCB admitted it in their PR. Where PMCB went haywire was with the claim they would resubmit for a new patent to replace the expiring patent. Sorry, expiring patents, can not be renewed.

How do generic drugs come into existence? The patents on the brand name drugs expire.
