Yeah, what a hoot that was. The term is geologist. And said geologist would need to bring in contractors with equipment for sampling, drilling, and perhaps geo-magnetic exploration, in order to determine where to drill. Such exploration work is extremely time consuming, and costly, and would need to focus on only one or two of the 30 old claims. By the way, only a few of those were actual functioning mines, with historical production. Most were just sites that had a bit of panning or a core drill or two sunk.

Mining isn't what it used to be. Wholesale hydraulic destruction of waterways is no longer allowed. In fact, no commercial dredging is now banned in California. So any placer mining would have to be careful not to disturb the waterways. And lode mining requires extensive permitting as well.

There is nearly zero chance that EFLN will ever open even one commercial gold mine. The first problem would be that they have no means of raising funding for any exploration work, beyond perhaps dipping a handheld gold pan or two.
