The symbol change alone has little value. Talking about what the new symbol is will have no effect on share price. The reason that the symbol change is important is because it opens the flood gates of information. Press releases and financials will come after symbol change. It's what comes after the symbol change that has so many hyped up on the new symbol, not the actual change itself.
