Little bladder wall irritation? Not exactly. The standard of care hasn't worked for these poor souls. They have the option of removal of their bladder. Not sure if you understand what this trial means to these people/families.
The trial is only testing safety. No markers are being checked to see if any cancer was destroyed. If it didn't make the first 3 sick...they will test another 6 subjects to see if it makes any of them sick...6 month follow up for the second 6 patients. Then after all that if it meets safety end points they can start another new trial to see if they can kill cancer.
