I added a REIT to my overall income investments this week, too. NRO is something I've owned in the past but not for a while. I added it back at $5.24/share. It currently pays about 9% yield, is selling at about 10% below its NAV and has enough price range to give me occasional AIM directed trades.
The income is nice and REITS generally offer a bit of inflation hedge during times when it is higher than now. I've not owned a Closed End Fund for a while so am pleased to add this one back to my portf.
