BLDV + Israel + Global Market for Cannabis: What we know so far

1. Facebook - 3/20/17: BLDV discloses that Joshua B. Alper, CEO of Blue Diamond Ventures, Inc. is attending the 2017 CannaTech event on March 20 - 22, 2017

CannaTech is an annual event hosted in Israel, the heartland of innovation. CannaTech is designed to bring together the world’s most dynamic cannabis professionals for a rare chance to network, kick around conventional thinking about medical cannabis.

CannaTech showcases the full spectrum of global industry leaders, spanning the fields of science, research, finance, medicine, government policy, tech innovation, agriculture & entrepreneurship, at one outstanding event with a singular focus on cannabis and all the opportunity that surrounds it.

- Note the key highlights and how they are trying to describe the caliber of this event and in turn BLDV's intentions of attending the event

2. 4/26/17 PR and 5/3/17 Facebook: BLDV discloses that Jonathan Alper, Manager of Blue Diamond Consulting LLC and Principle of Alper & Associates Consulting, is traveling to Israel on Thursday, May 5th as an official representative of BLDV.

Mr. Alper will be meeting with government officials, and current & prospective clients to fully understand the logistics of importing/exporting cannabis products to and from Israel.

“I have done business in Israel for over 40 years,” said Alper “Regulatory Compliance is key, we will now start to coordinate our efforts with Health Canada, and the Israeli Health Ministries, Cannabis Unit

- Notice how: i) There is explicit disclosure of the purpose of Jonathan's trip to Israel and how it relates to importing/exporting.

ii) The disclosure is not to discuss possibilities, but to discuss logistics and starting coordination thereby possibly indicating at how far they could be in the process

iii) There is explicit disclosure that Jonathan is travelling to Israel as an official representative. Official representatives are normally authorized to transact and engage in on behalf of who they represent, i.e. BLDV:

State of Israel - Ministry of Health: Medical Cannabis Unit

The Medical Cannabis Unit is the authorized body in the Ministry of Health to issue patients with permits to use cannabis for medical purposes, in accordance with the Procedures that have been set (link to Procedure 106), to assess authorization and to issue appropriate permits to those engaged in the field of cannabis and to investigators and various research bodies that wish to carry out studies of cannabis and cannabinoids.

3. 4/26/17 PR and 5/3/17 Facebook: BLDV discloses that on May 28th, 2017, Joshua B. Alper CEO of Blue Diamond will be returning to Israel to conduct the next round of meetings on the Technology & Science side.

“We have the MJ Daily on May 16th, the LIFT Show in Toronto May 26th, and then back to Israel on May 28th, “says Josh “The timing could not be better

- Note the timing of the trips from #2 to #3 and then how it falls after the Lift Show. Also, the post explicitly states that it is the next round of meetings. I think this is another possible indication of how far they could possibly be in the process.

4. 4/20/17 PR announces - Key excerpts are: i) BLDV has entered into a Joint Development Agreement with Alternative Medical Solutions Inc., to import & export Targeted Medicinal Cannabis Products and Advanced Cannabis Technologies, to and from Canada.

- I do not think BLDV and AMS would enter into a JV if they were not possibly sure of the road they are taking with each and into other countries

ii) The recent CannaTech Conference in Israel provided the forum to secure the initial agreements required to pursue this effort

- Further to 4.i above, I think BLDV could be telling us that they have agreements in Israel to support/demand the other side of the JV with AMS

iii) This new effort will ensure that AMS, when licensed, will be a Global Project, with their products being available worldwide and with access to the ingredients and technology that will continue to make AMS a leader in the Canadian market."

- Further to 4.ii above, I think BLDV could be telling us that they will equip AMS with the necessary ingredients and technologies (hint: Israel) to become a player in the Global and Canadian market, thereby solidifying the need of both AMS and Israel Cannabis for each other

iv) "We are excited to launch this effort with BLDV," said Joseph Groleau, VP Business Development for AMS. "With the specialized products and technologies coming into Canada from Israel, and access to global markets with our finished products, we see this as a separate profit center that could even outgrow our efforts in cultivation."

- Further to 4.iii above, I think AMS could be trying to highlight the significance of the JV and how their ability to access and export global markets might be bigger than cultivation

v) Canada will be the home to the new joint venture, and the first market focus will be to bring Israeli Cannabis products and technology to Canada. "AMS is the perfect partner for this project," said Joshua B. Alper, CEO of Blue Diamond Ventures, Inc.

- Notice how the CEO BLDV is re-emphasizing the importance of the JV to bring Israeli products and technology to Canada but also indicating it will be the first market focus. It is possible that BLDV is planning to export to other markets after they succeed in the Israeli and Canadian markets in order to possibly become a Global Exporter.

5. 5/10/17 Facebook: BLDV confirms that Jonathan Alper, Blue Diamond Director has been in Israel for the past few days conducting meetings on behalf of BLDV.

- Good to the see follow through on #2 that the trip took place in the same capacity BLDV indicated Jonathan would.

MedReleafs’ ties with Tikun Olam: 10% monthly growth

I would like to focus in on the section of the article referenced below related to MedReleaf [ https://medreleaf.com ] to identify a few growth points/similarities which I think could be possible for BLDV; time will tell.

1. Like other new medical marijuana producers, MedReleaf “started at zero,” Closner said. Today, he reckons it’s Canada’s largest company in the sector, based on revenue.

- Key words here are started at zero which is where BLDV started from.

2. Growth prospects are apparent. In addition to the company’s 55,000-square- foot headquarters, of which 30,000 square feet are reserved for plants, a 210,000-square-foot plant-growing facility is currently under construction. (Note: This is for MedReleaf extracted from the article below)

- Health Canada's website confirms that MedReleaf has two locations in Ontario, Canada. AMS's 50,000 sq. ft. warehouse is located in Hannover, Ontario, Canada.

Source: http://hc-sc.gc.ca/dhp-mps/marihuana/info/list-eng.php

3. Closner credits MedReleafs’ ties with Tikun Olam for helping spur growth, which he said is running at 10 per cent per month.

- Key here is Tikun Olam [ http://www.tikun-olam.info ] and how it helped MedReleaf spur its growth. Reading the text below about Tikun Olam I can potentially see why BLDV is going to Israel (i.e. seeds and technology).

About Us

Tikun Olam Ltd. is the first, largest and foremost supplier of medical Cannabis in Israel, and one of leading medical cannabis companies in the world.

Tikun Olam is the flag bearer and pioneer of the treatment of patients with medical cannabis in Israel. The company is privately held and has been operating under license from the Israel Ministry of Health since 2007.

With The most extensive patient treatment database in the world and clinical research, Tikun Olam provides safe and suitable treatment – from pediatric to geriatric patients. Tikun Olam breeds unique proprietary cannabis strains and develops standardized consistent products with accurate dosage. Tikun Olam is a vertically integrated company – from plant to patient, founder of the first in world professional cannabis Nursing Clinic.

Since 2014 Tikun Olam cooperates with Medreleaf of Canada, to treat Canadian patients. In 2016 Tikun Olam expanded its business to the US and established a subsidiary company Tikun Olam USA. In 2017 Tikun Olam announces cooperation with Medifarm of Australia, Queensland's first medicinal cannabis growing licence.

Source: http://www.tikun-olam.info/article.php?id=1013

- Similarly, if we look at the "About" description of MedReleaf, we see their focus on R&D and their ISO registration. Notice how the key is the sourcing which I presume is seed quality and technology, from Israel of course.

MedReleaf sets The Medical Grade Standard™ for cannabis in Canada and around the world. The first and only ISO 9001 certified cannabis producer in North America, MedReleaf is a R&D-driven company dedicated to patient care, scientific innovation, research and advancing the understanding of the therapeutic benefits of cannabis. Sourced from around the world and perfected in one of two state of the art facilities in Ontario, MedReleaf delivers a variety of premium products to patients seeking safe, consistent and effective medical cannabis.

Source: https://medreleaf.com/about

4. Looking at the home page of Tikun Olam, you will see MedReleaf displayed on their homepage for the partnership they have in Canada. Also, notice the media coverage references at the bottom of their homepage:

http://www.tikun-olam.info/

- Here is a CNN news clip titled 'Israel's next export: Kosher cannabis?' published on March 7, 2016:

The news clip mentions Tikun Olam at 1:36. At 2:00 in the news clip, the CEO of Tikun Olam, Aharon Lutzky, describes the potential for exporting oils and cannabis export business could be in the hundreds of millions of dollars.

Time will tell, whether similar to MedReleaf, BLDV and AMS will be developing such strategic and beneficial exporting partnerships in Israel to spur the growth of AMS.

If anyone has any thoughts or comments, please share them.

Go BLDV!
