They did name one guy. A friend of mine (PhD - Physics) working at GA Tech put me in touch with him. Uncle ronnie touted him but when we spoke the scientist said he was only consulted about some narrow aspect of the turbine efficiency (exact topic escapes me now - it was a long time ago).
No scientist has ever signed off on the total concept of the down draft.
