But hey, I've been doing this a loooong time. Note my alias created in 2001 but I made my first foray into the market in the late 80's
The last time I counted, I had 84 stocks in various portfolios that were ZEROS. --> i.e. worth NADA. Many of them aren't even tickers anymore... just numbers.
If I were to add up the lost profits from not cashing in on those stocks at (or near) their highs the amount would be in the 7 figures.
I had one stock where the company had a couple of hundred employees but they f*cked up in so many ways... including not paying their payroll taxes. Their symbol doesnt even trade anymore.
These lotto ticket plays are a fool's game. Do your best to be the littlest fool.
There were folks who bought a half a million shares of that stock sub-penny and hung on for a wild ride. My recollection is it went to around 30 cents. In the end... there were a lot of people who made a bundle and a lot of people who lost a bundle on that pos (ticker long gone)
So yeah, these pennies can have incredible runs...for the very reason you mentioned, they have the ingredients AND the temptation to make fast money is very strong with sub-pennies.
