If the company could not sell its only asset and return anything to their shareholders, then going bankrupt would have been the appropriate course of action. Stop delaying saving people's lives over stealing people's money. Sell the asset to a company that can afford it.

Where'd you here that? Bond holders and financiers come first. Stock holders are on the low end of the totem pole.
