I listened to the Citibank webcast yesterday, and Bloomberg got it wrong. Keitel did not say that the antitrust win now means that Broadcom must sign a license. He did say Broadcom needs such a license (irrespective of that particular decision), and that all that`s still in doubt is whether it will be a "world standard rate agreement", or whether Broadcom can play litigation chess in such a way that they are able to leverage a more favorable arangement.
