Simple question: How will Canada produce hemp at a lower cost than Americans?
What is it, Gailm? Better soil? Greater sun coverage? Clearer water? Lower electric bill? WHAT?! What is Canada doing that American's can't?
Inversely, why won't American's be able to produce hemp at a competitive cost, if not scale up for better economies?
Where are you getting the idea that all imports are cheaper?
Seriously, none of what you said makes any sense. I genuinely feel sorry for anyone who suffered reading through your blabber.
I'm not debating that China and other countries have cheap labor (the main source of lower production costs), but there are other costs involve, plus tarrifs and taxes, and also subsidies.
No, not everyone shops at Wholefoods, but everyone should clean their butt after a good squat - most people choose paper products for the dirty work. Most people will want to blow their nose with tissue during a cold, or wrap Xmas presents to put under their silly little Xmas tree (probably imported cause everything that's imported is cheaper, according to Gailm /s). Let's see: plastics, oils, textiles, the list goes on.
Like you said, things change. Why you continue to be in denial is your choice. Not my way of living.
- to answer my own question - Canada has a hemp economy ONLY because it's big brother down south has the largest appetite for hemp products, products it hasn't been able to produce for itself... well, until today.
