First to market wins? Not really. If that were the case, we would all be driving Model Ts. Not a historian, maybe the Model T was not the first automobile, but that would be an even better illustration of my point. If "first to market wins" were true, there would be no competition in the marketplace. Apps are no different from material goods in that regard.

BTW, congrats to TruePic with their 1000 downloads in eight days (as of yesterday, can't remember which platform and don't care enough to check again). Must be a stellar app with an outstanding marketing strategy. I'm absolutely terrified. This is sarcasm.
