Post process inspection takes forever and destroys material. You literally have to take samples, tensile test, bend test, with AM, do some sort of scan for pockets of non melted powder etc all of which takes hours, meanwhile the machines are still running so if they do find a defect they have to scrap the entire run, perhaps multiple runs, and recalibrate. It would not work at all in additive mass production, especially since some of these designed for additive parts are impossible to test via traditional methods due to the totally unconventional structures.
