Agree that people are reading too much into Corker leaving. This is fairly routine stuff. Most of the time, Congress woman/man only show up for their turn to talk. So it is common to see them show up and then leave as soon as they're done.
Even for vote counts. The chambers are empty except for the people doing the tallying. The senator/Representative each show up, say yay or nay, and then disappear.
The most surprising thing for me was when the chambers discusses a bill or fillibuster. The person does a soliloquy to an empty chamber. A lot of times with visual aids like charts and graphs. The c-span camera is on them so it looks like they're talking to an audience. Not so.
However, I do have to say, Corker did seem pretty upset.
