I do the exact same thing... Don't love the shipping either.. I've contacted Costco on several occasions asking them to please carry in the California stores.. Why don't you also go to their website and send them an email and ask for the Cold Brew to be carried at your local store.
By the way, at one of my local stores they're carrying Starbucks Cold Brew unrefrigerated..
BaldEagle, We order a ton online and make gift/thank you baskets for our clients. Sometimes we order 15-20 cases at time and keep them in our basement. We had the same concerns as you, but after 60 and even 90 days boxed up downstairs they taste as good as the day we received them. Not sure what the actual shelf expectancy is, but I'm sure you could 'pour' through 60 days worth and take advantage of the free shipping. Hope that helps!
