I personally go back to my post a couple of weeks ago, about expertise. I said that just because you have a PhD, doesn't mean you are good at everything. It only means you have the intelligence for expertise in something. (JMO)
He could be one of the best in his field, but be really bad in the field of production and marketing.
An EXPERIENCED marketing person would also have knowledge of production. I'm sure they would have to be aware of production issues (Not necessarily a machine expert.) in order to not fall on their face with marketing.
With all this money available, maybe he should stop pinching pennies when it come to managing, and of course stuffing boxes. lol
