Many on this board have discussed the financials in detail over the years - and long before your arrival.
The issues before us do not simply concern valuation of a company that one finds in the usual situation because FnF's condition results from a number of government actions whose legality and very constitutionality is an ongoing subject of litigation in many jurisdictions. There are also an array of political dimensions.
Your implication that we are all clueless finance/accounting noobs because we think this is a special situation therefore appears a bit misguided -- we know this is the most special of special situations.
