lesn: "No small task getting that CHILL lifted."

Yes, and there is no one and no money available to NeoMedia to get it lifted, so who did it? Our now benevolent YA Global?

So, I actually called my broker at Merrill Lynch. There is no notice from DTCC that they have lifted the chill. If they did so, they publish one 'notification' per stock. Nothing published.

She said no legitimate broker maintains a live DTCC chill list. The second most common posting of DTCC chill releases is OTCMarkets and they would show it directly under the symbol. Nothing. NeoMedia is still listed as 'Dark or Defunct.'

"I called my brokers because I wanted to know the truth, not some fabrications a poster may try to pawn as fact."

Now, you never responded to my post about why, during a halt, you became interested in a years old DTCC chill. You said you called 'brokers', plural. So, I guess all is left to do is to call one broker, eTrade, on Monday. I think we all know how that is going to turn out.

Thank you lesn. I, like many others were led to believe YA sold the patents as a lady ditch effort to recoup those millions and left the Neom carcass to rot. You are suggesting it is now a rising phoenix, albeit in apparition mode for the time being.

lesn:

Check it again in two weeks or just call your broker. ETrade told me the same information...

DTC CHILL LIFTED.

I just spoke with an eTrade financial services representative. eTrade does not track DTCC chills except for 'international freezes' (whatever that is). Because eTrade has their own clearinghouse, DTCC chills do not effect their trading. Barring a press release, eTrade would not know if a chill was 'lifted' because they would not know about the chill itself. She felt pretty sure there would have been a press release if someone went to the effort, and expense, to have it lifted.

She also said the only place to get accurate information on the status of a chill is the DTCC itself.

Are you sure it was eTrade you spoke to?

Notice to Shareholders, February 28, 2013
As we have discussed previously in our updates, DTC prescribed specific procedures for us to follow in order for DTC to make a determination whether the Deposit Chill can be removed, including submission of an acceptable legal opinion. As of February 25, 2013 we have not submitted the requisite information and thus the Chill remains in effect until such time as NeoMedia determines that it is appropriate to expend the significant resources to prepare the request for removal of the Chill. Shareholders may still trade our shares through full service brokers. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

Notice to Shareholders, January 28, 2013
NeoMedia Technologies, remains current in all of the regulatory filings necessary to maintain trading of its stock in the market. The Depository Trust Corporation (DTC) ‘chill’ in effect on the Company’s stock only impacts the ability to trade shares electronically. While the stock is not trading electronically, it continues to be traded using traditional paper stock certificates. Please check with your current or other brokerage firm regarding their policy on paper stock certificates.
We have been advised by the DTC of the process they require to remove the trading “chill” placed on the Company’s Stock. We are continuing to work within the process to address the concerns of the DTC in the hopes of the chill being lifted.
