Dogman, in reply to your message I cant do a private message as (not a premi member) but its in Las Animas County not that far from the New Mexico border. We grew grass/alfalfa hay and some Hay grazer on it. Lots of smaller farms out there. Not sure what kind of problems growers have using federal water with the irrigation part or if it's an issue at all, but Along with the water rights there is a 1000 gallon cistern piped into near where the house is so this may assist with the problem of federal water usage for a grower, idk. The place is super private... way off the road with a gate. If you know someone who is interested let me know and ill give ya the number to the realtor.
