Federal Courts Actually Need to Understand what federal funds are being stripped and why ... The federal govt can strip federal funds ... They actually need to have a plan for it ... And in this case, there is no concrete plan.
I have read a good amount about this today, and am shocked that the Trump Admin just feels they can repeal federal funding pretty much just because they want to ... It is arbitrarily punitive, and there is no plan to ensure this action is evenly applied.
The injunction says it “does nothing more than implement the effect of the Government’s flawed interpretation of the Order. It does not affect the ability of the Attorney General or the Secretary to enforce existing conditions of federal grants ... nor does it impact the Secretary’s ability to develop regulations or other guidance defining what a sanctuary jurisdiction is or designating a jurisdiction as such.”
