Show me a point on this chart where 2 candlesticks and their wicks DO NOT INTERSECT...YOU CAN'T BECAUSE THERE IS NONE. THAT IS THE TRUE DEFINITION OF A GAP ON A CHART...There are 0 GAPS. PERIOD.http://www.profitspi.com/stock-chart.aspx?id=INMG&ca=1387043304
rich pearl- agree 100% and your spot on-The issue underlies where an amateur chartist on another site gives his analysis of a many tickers intra-day and he calls a "gap" pretty much anything on a chart that does print that day of trading...he says wait till gap fills before buying that day etc...Its merely his opinion an not evident based facts of a daily chart view taking the prior trading days which has to be done to call anything a true gap...An intra-day gap is merely a daytraders perspective...not a real chartists. For example, on friday the stock closed at .018 and yesterday the stock opened around .021...so he calls 19 and 20 a gap.....BUT its NOT a true gap because on the daily chart you can clearly see those price points clearly printed in prior trading days..Its also as you stated where 2 candles wicks do not intersect and its clearly not the case with INMG as per chart link below..
