I bought PACB thinking that a buyout seemed possible, but perhaps they run into anti-trust laws.
Also, dominating the field as they do, not allowing unthreatening competition would make them appear to be greedy, monopolistic outfit. Patients already don't have much choice but to use them.
Interestingly, a friend needed a genetic test to see if he had Marfans recently and his doc sent the test into NVTA...He doesn't thankfully.
