"Corrected on what basis? I prefer to deal with facts "

If you did, that would be WONDERFUL.

In my opinion, you know a LOT. A lot about treasure sites, a lot about diving. I respect your knowledge. As you hvaew rightly stated before, you know more than almost anyone on this board. But ... what is or is not on THIS site? You do not know. Have they found ballast stones? You say they have not. Is that one of your "facts"? How do you know they have not? Ballast stones are not something in and of themselves to make a PR. WHy tell the world something like that if you haven't found the treasure yet (and they have not. they would announce that) But have they found ballast stones? Olive jars? YOU don't know. that is what I am correcting. I'm saying that even with your knowledge in general, you have no idea what they have or have not found here, so saying flat out that they have NOT found those things is NOT a fact, but your OPINION. SO no, you are not dealing with facts. You are dealing with limited knowledge on THIS site, and yet coming up with broad assumptions. Please stop assuming. You may be right. But you may be wrong. Yet, with your vast knowledge, when you say with absolute authority (As a FACT) that they have NOT found those items, I think you are overstepping.

By the way, I TOO do not know if they hvae found ballast stones, or olive jars. But at least I ADMIT I do not know. I don't assume they HAVE, just like I'm asking you to not assume they have NOT.

That is where you are corrected. Presenting opinion on something you do not know about, and presenting it as an expert that knows the facts.

Make sense?
