You will probably do well with STM. They have accumulated a lot of properties and a lot of people have recommended them.

Unfortunately, I feel that much of the recommendations come from accepting cliches from a lot of hype and PR rather than from real dd. Their properties are not that good and their development team weak. I see them doing things to promote 'potentials' rather than real development - probably just to get someone to buy the property rather than a real intent to develop it. (I get a similiar impression with CVV.)

That being said, sometimes hype will move a stock more than real development and you will do well. I just prefer honest intent and ability when I can find it.

Chamane, congrats on STM!

I trust, from my response to you that you know I thought STM would make you $$. I also think it will continue.

It has made me consider, again, my investment philosphy. It is often disappointing to me to see a good company not do as well as it should because it doesn't make it's case well to the public. Then, to see another company do better than it should because it does a good PR job, well... (Thompson Water Seal would be an example of a product selling on PR and nothing else - certainly not results.)

The world doesn't run on logic, but a combination of a balance of reason and emotion - and that is the way it should be! Either world would not be enjoyable without both (and I have to recognize better the influences of the two).

Anyway, you gave an opportunity to re-evualuate and vent (though I am still not in STM).
