A lot of Intel employees have lost their jobs and are losing their jobs over the next couple of months. These are people with mouths to feed and bills to pay. This isn't an easy time for any of these people so put your stupid bias aside and please don't make a light of their situation. Have some class, if you can.
Let's see now. Intel has superior products ramping across nearly every segment, holds an apparently lengthening process lead, and yet reportedly plans large lay-offs to get its cost structure even lower than what its unmatched economies of scale already provides.
I think AMD camp followers should shelve the schaden- freude and be worried sick. With AMD spending money on lateral acquisitions and hiring like crazy it is apparent that Intel is hunkering down for total war while AMD is still mesmerized with self-congratulatory celebration for its past few years. The problem with looking backwards is you don't see the brick wall before you hit it. Or in this case, it hits you.
