The only drug for moderate to severe is aricpet. Their results showed slight improvements for several months and then dropped off. At 3 months the placebo lost 5 points on the SIB, while the dosed arm improved by 1 point on the SIB. Over next several weeks, dosed arm started losing points on the SIB, but not as rapidly as the placebo arm. There were side effects and as with any study with the elderly, some died during their study. Yet it was approved and is a blockbuster drug. Our primary endpoint is SIB. We'll see how bryostatin impacted those scores and if significant, we'll see how fast the FDA allows this to move towards helping the moderate to severe patient population. You are correct people will pay for any additional time with their family member. We'll know drug results any day now. The rest is "unlinked" noise as tons of research is out there.
