LOL! He din't 'win' the case - he was INDICTED on criminal counts by a grand jury. The case was dropped on a technicality ... evidence admissibility issues - and because the Federal prosecutor quit to run for Hilsborough county's top state (Florida) prosecutor and the DC Federal prosecutor din't want to step in and take over.

Similar to how scamster Michael Metter of the SPNG fraud dodged the bullet after he was indicted and arrested. And everyone knows Michael Metter was guilty as hell, including his co-conspirator who pleaded guilty to testify against him and also wore a wire. Butt the email evidence was excluded and the case was dismissed, with Guilty Michael Metter walking free! Evidentiary technicality that dismissed a case against an obviously guilty man.

Evidentiary technicalities don't constitute 'winning' a case, it simply means he dodged a bullet like lots of other crooks do.
