Munoz screwed up and definitely worsened what was already a PR disaster. But what no one is pointing out is that this was a Republic Airlines scheduling/dispatch department screw up for which United is taking the heat.
Share valuation remains unchanged, and a $40 share price based on this incident alone doesn't make any sense as that would put UAL at a 5.3 P/E - even better than Delta's.
