RD, you get the Shares Tax Free, BUT when you SELL, your Cost Bases is $0.00, you pay taxes only the TOTAL gain.
ie If you sell for $10.00 you pay Taxes on the full $10.00
Not $6.50 for spin off shares (if $3.50 is the Value)

RD to me for it to me non taxable either you lose the equivalent value in SIAF or your basis ( cost) is zero and you are taxed in the whole amount when you sell your Triway. Or you are taxed on the dividend initially
