In NC we had a state law that you could not buy beer before 1PM on Sundays. The Nascar fans got pissed off since most races start at 1 PM.

They changed the law so beer could be sold at noon.

All is now good in NC. Of course two Baptists at a grocery store on Sunday will claim they are picking up the beer for their wives.
