Mastiff, good question, I think the breakout of the votes implies not that Dan is doing a bad job (the trials are moving forward and producing good results with Dan securing fast tracks and SPAs and collaborations - some good some less so) but the problem is an alignment problem. The disproportionate awards management has taken for themselves is not justified by the (lack of) value created for shareholders and this misalignment is one reason we have seen strong progress of the company overall but the fruits of that progress are being realized through management financial interests and not those of shareholders (one has to look no further than the steady growth of management financial interests over the last four years while investors who came in over this time across the offerings have lost 33% of their capital). This creates lack of buying interest and more shorting when potential new investors see the cards are stacked against them in favor of management. That is what the vote reflected today.
