I just don't understand why anyone would short at $10 let alone at $8 when consensus Wall Street analyst coverage of ADXS has a current fair valuation pegged at$21.

Possible that retail borrowed those shares from Fidelity for shorting. Also possible that some longs recalled their borrowed shares or restricted them from being lent, etc.
