Although de-risking is a term that has recently appeared in company powerpoint presentations, its been in use, and an initiative since at least 2012. I suppose that the company believes it has de-risked something. Honestly, i'm not quite sure what the term means or what it refers to since I haven't looked at the ppt.

Does it mean that the product is safe?
Does it mean that the product is useful?
Does it mean that doctors will use it?
Does it mean that insurance companies will reimburse for it?
Does it mean that the product will make the company profitable? (The information related to the dilution indicate that investing in the company is a significant risk)
Does a de-risked product mean that stock price will be stable or increase? (Based on current events, it doesn't seem so)
