Hey guys, had a question that I will try to put a little delicately as I really don't want to upset anyone. Had some down time last night and went back to the days when this message board started (beginning of 02). I only found this board a few weeks or so ago. I read some over and read the 12/01 Dow Jones piece which spoke glowingly of ITKG's prospects. In it ITKG was quoted as saying that Nokia, Qualcom and others were doing testing of ITKG's materials as a prelude to developing products using the technology. I'm sure you all remember the revenue projections and general euphoria.
My question is doesn't it seem to you that if those tests were successful that soon after that the ball would have gotten rolling? It is about 5 full years later and not only no products w/ those company’s as partners but obviously no relationship with them at all. Isn't it more likely than not that those company’s were either not impressed with the technology or decided it was too costly or impractical to re-engineer their products to adopt it? Had this run up occurred back in 02 or even 03 I would be excited beyond belief on the assumption that those tests were leading to major deals -- but even allowing for caution 5 years is a long time and if the technology was so ground breaking wouldn’t a Nokia have worried that a Motorola would have swooped in if they delayed? I am also very unfamiliar with how fast new technologies are accepted and perhaps that is the reason for the delay. I would prefer not to delude myself though and it just does not seem all that plausible that those company’s, if not interested then, are potentialy interested now.
Any thoughts?
