Um, didn't he just say that amyloid was a wild goose chase. You reduce amyloid and it has no effect. If I was to guess, NILVAD was a bust.

After watching the video again, he's basically abandoning the amyloid hypothesis. And if anything, the video was a request for donations. Why donate to us as opposed to others doing Alzheimer's research.

Nilvad was a bust. It may or may not have reduced amyloid, but so what. Didn't apparently have any effect on Alzheimer's.

Watch his mannerisms and listen closely to what he says. He's saying the last 25 years of research were a waste other than we now know what doesn't work. Ouch.

How's this effect anatabine. Not at all that I can see.

I watched the video again just to see if I'm misinterpreting it. This is a major announcement. Mullan who discovered amyloid and it's Alzheimer's connection is saying it's a symptom. Has nothing to do with the cause so trying to reduce it was a total waste of time. Roskamp is abandoning trying to regulate amyloid or reduce it. 25 years down the drain. Wow.

Doing some googling to see if there is some kind of announcement and came across this.

Is the Leading Theory About Alzheimer's Wrong?
Yet another failed drug trial has prompted soul-searching about the “amyloid hypothesis.”
