Not exactly. This isn't just a container. Yes, it's more economical to use a polybag...but this isn't about convenience. The Boveda packs that come in the container maintain the perfect humidity level to store MJ. It maintains the quality of the MJ, keeps it from drying out and hydrates if necessary.

Before I had ever heard of Acology or their containers, I used a CVault with Boveda packs and never have I went back to plastic bags.

With the Medtainer you get all the benefits of this CVault plus a grinder, FDA approved materials, and child resistant properties. With MJ going the legal way in Canada I'm sure many will want this especially those of us with kids.

Not trying to big up this product too much, but the benefits are far beyond it "just" being a container. You'll maintain the quality of the MJ, it will last longer as dried out weed burns too fast...there are tons of pros to having one of these products.

Would you be ok with buying Advil from plastic bags with a label on it?

Thanks Shaark! The only observation that I'll make is that pharmacies dispense meds in pharmacy bottles, not plastic bags. The Medtainer lurks....
