His math is a little more conservative (price too low, mineral owner's cut too high) than that which I did for you yesterday in this post

but his contention that it's not going to pay out as quickly as some might have hoped is essentially correct. Clearly, he was expecting more, and faster, and is understandably disappointed, as you can see. Actually, it's still a great pay out rate for a well of this size, so again... everybody should be very happy with the Buck Snag #1 and urge MXXR to get the rest of the Buck Snags punched with all possible expediency.

The other factor working in our favour is that if they're selling the gas into the "spot" market we should see - and receive - prices much higher than the $7 / MCF I used in my calculations as we head into the winter months.
