Benjy: It seems we have come upon a very important thing here: GOLF. Golf can be fun. Bonds are Boring. When I matriculated many years ago the only guys who went into the bond business were The Boring Guys; you could look it up. Anyway, you should get a book called the "Inner Game of Golf" at the earliest possible moment. I forget 92% of it. But this I remembered: [I'm winging it here so stick with me] The Mind Is a Terrible Thing. The Mind is the Golfer's enema, er Enemy. Your ball lies on the fairway and you KNOW it's a 6-iron to the front of the green and with the pin 30 yards beyond; it's like a 2-foot gimme putt. You reach in your bag for the 6-iron, pull it out. Then your mind goes to work. "Gee," says the mind, "what if I hit it too hard? It'll roll over the green, down the slope and plop into the water. Better go with the 7-iron." And on and on. You go back to the bag, swap the 6 for the 7-iron and come up short to the right into the beach. "Feh" you say as you break the 7-iron over your knee and contemplate the great game of horseshoes. You gotta put your mind to SLEEP. Your body will do it. So the fellow who wrote this book says "On your back swing say "back"...and as you make your swing say "hit." [the words don't matter, "buy and "short" will work too... your eyes, arms, and other body parts will do it. Trust me, it works You could look this up too.
