baytdr- There is a commitment fee paid to Aspire for each deal that is paid directly in shares vs. options. That is probably what you were remembering. And yes, that is an additional cost for each deal they do with Aspire.

I apologize if I'm mistaken, it's possible I've crisscrossed terms of another financing deal.
