Its clear that sweet spot will move to 2GB DDR modules as the Dramurai switch to 1Gb chips.

Dramurai have been wallowing in their own incompetence for the last 2.5 years. If you think most > 50% of PCs will have 4 Gig of memory in 2 years then by all means dream on. Intel took a big gamble when it decieded to go from 533Mhz to 800Mhz the fact that DDR 400 prices have crept up means intel may have just been able to avert disaster and that Dramurai have just been barely able to supply demand generated by P4Cs running at
200Mhz.

Joe - And 2 of them are 4 GB, which is the end of the road for 32 bit CPUs.

But 32bit CPUs have 36 address bits so 64GB is the current end of the road, for now.
