I'd also add that this could help explain the odd drops on days when good news is announced. These are the days that twitter posts and the like are most numerous, thus bringing in the most visitors to our board. Moreover, an impulse buy would be more likely to occur on a day where that link would catalyse the response a new investor/trader might have to the new press release.
