I have not seen the robot, but know from my local Medtronic rep and from discussions with mid-level management, that this "robot" will have the capability of holding and/or using standard straight stick laparoscopic instrumentation. Not really a true robot, but a hybrid. It is still in its infancy.
I have seen the name Einstein 2.0 In the job postings for Medtronic engineers. Sounded like it may be something like a machine learning/software system thing.
