True, I think a lot of times we forget to look at the longer charts. I always say that when a short time chart falls apart, look at the long term chart to get your answer why.

One reason that I think gold needs more time to consolidate is the monthly chart. The blue 50 MA is pointing down pretty hard and is going to need some time to turn around. IMHO
